CHAMBER OF COMMERCE chooses Egebimtes as its business partner
for the “Document Tracking Sytem” Project
Under the project, data from the
analysis performed have been assessed, followed by the designing
of a special document tracking system configured on Microsoft
Office Share Point Server 2007 infrastructure. After
finalization of the relevant software development and training
sessions, the Document Tracking System enabling fully
computerized document flow has been launched for use by nearly
200 users working for the İzmir Chamber of Commerce.

Management and Business Continuity Project
The leading manufacturer of
industrial and automobile coatings in Turkey since 1982, Akzo
Nobel Kemipol preferred CA solutions and products for its IT
initiatives concerning business continuity and backup of
critical systems. Stating that
their systems are now able to achieve recovery time objectives
with the CA XOSoft product and manual tasks have been decreased
to almost zero, Gökhan Özçağıran, Assistant Manager of
Information Systems for Akzo Nobel Kemipol, added that
elimination of the need for manual tasks allows the IT team to
focus on different systems, thus enabling more efficient use of

the world, Hugo Boss is Europe’s biggest fashion and
ready-made-clothing manufacturer with a turnover of Eur
1.2 billion and 8400 employees worldwide. Named among
Turkey’s top 500 establishments, Hugo Boss–İzmir
preferred CA solutions and products in ensuring business
continuity and backing up of its critical systems. Kenan
Bahçıvan, Hugo Boss-İzmir System Administrator, says
that the project that involved CA XOsoft enabled very
quick back-up of
servers that are very heavily used during the day and
that affect the entire work flow, and adds that
retrieval from back-ups now takes only minutes. |
ÇİMENTAŞ Project for Transition to
Windows 2003 and Exchange 2007
A key priority for Çimentaş MIS-IT Department is to ensure
effective, uninterrupted and secure operation of their systems.
The primary factors that contributed to the formation of this
sensitive approach undoubtedly include the professional
management concept, combined with the hosting and use of SAP
systems within a certain discipline. Upon in-depth contacts held
with various companies, Çimentaş selected Egebimtes to handle
the uninterrupted transition from Windows 2000 Active Directory
configuration to Windows
2003 Active Directory and the hosting of email (POP3) service
that was formerly provided via an ISP on Exchange Server 2007
Cluster systems that will be set up in Çimentaş.

“Green
IT – Environmentally-Sensitive Information Technologies” seminar
by Egebimtes held at İzmir Kültürpark
Environmentally-sensitive information technologies have been
introduced at our Green IT meeting, a theme that also
corresponded to “Global Warming” -the main topic of the 77th
İzmir International Fair this year, of which our company was the
IT sponsor. Each participant was given a sapling supplied from
the Aegean Forest Foundation, in an effort to further emphasize
the importance of environmental sensitivity.
